THE RELIGION OF ‘EVOLUTION’ – FROM THE AMOEBA TO SPACE X ROCKETS?

| Reverend R.E. Joyce

Yes – The belief in ‘evolution’ can be considered a religion. It has supplied a simple answer to questions mankind has always asked: How did we get here?; Who is our creator?; What enabled we humans to build the pyramids, develop atomic weapons, and now fly rockets out into the universe. With the simple answer of ‘evolution’ we can put aside the Old and New Testaments and the complexities of organized religion.

While we are still left with some questions such as where did the mix of elements and energy originate to get the original life forms on the road to developing into us. Brilliant minds have told us how many billions of years old the ever expanding universe is – but not what the origins and boundaries of the universe are. It is likely beyond our comprehension. But for now – let’s just focus on how we got from the most primitive one cell life form to creatures able to build the SpaceX Rocket. As believers in ‘Evolution’ we can stop the speculation. We may not know the time-frame in which this happened but it is sometime between the beginning of the universe and a few years ago.

As a preacher I can see the handwriting on the wall – I may not be needed to save your souls with a complex belief system.
