The Big Lie From The Editorial Page of The Press Democrat: ‘The Solution to the Housing Crisis is Housing’

| Amy Caldwell

THERE IS NO HOUSING CRISIS – THERE IS A ‘PEOPLE CRISIS’ CREATED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THE PRESS. Nothing in the State constitution dictates that there is a fixed number of people to live in any specific area of our State.  In my opinion, the State mandates that communities create housing for populations and demographics which the State with the assistance of corrupt developers dictates. The State creates these mandates without considering the availability of local resources like water or the danger of fires. Los Angeles is the prime example.  A desert when first settled by Europeans, the only reason over 12 million people live there now is the confiscation of water resources from hundreds of miles away. People come where housing exists or where there is a promise of housing being created to satisfy government requirements. Companies relocate not necessarily because housing exists for employee housing but where they have reason to believe housing will be constructed to allow their expansion.
