The next time you are on the freeway take a notice of the amount of cars and trucks with blacked out windows. The law makes this treatment on the windows a violation. It is surprising that blacked out windows are not issued more citations and/or have the cars impounded. The businesses that install the window coverings might be shut down as well. Compare the enforcement of this violation with the State’s enforcement of smog laws. Unfortunately the police who take the risk in walking up to cars with blacked out windows don’t seem to issue many citations and that begs the question as to why.
